about
“You Might Remember” is the first single from Benedikt's
next full length album and the single shows us where
they're headed next. The hazy impressionist pop
atmosphere builds gradually into a stunning climax of
strings, accordion, distorted drums and soothing vocals
interweaving into each other, manifesting Benedikt’s
ambition of finding the calm in the chaos. The song is very
much a group effort, from the large collective of nine
musicians and best friends.
lyrics
I couldn’t tell it to your face
I was afraid you might remember
Taking you out to feel the rain
How could I think that God was tender?
And all I wanna do
Is talk it out with you
I guess
(I guess we’ll never
I guess we’ll never know)
I was alone before you
and I will be gone before you
Karma is always on your mind
Tell you the truth I’m still conflicted
When I was young I was a fool
Thinking I’d be around forever
And all I wanna do
Is talk it out with you
(I guess we’ll never
I guess we’ll never know)
I was alone before you
and I will be gone before you
